My debut poetry pamphlet, The Second Dream, is now available to pre-order from UK innovative poetry press, Steel Incisors.

Responding to the affective and ideological dimensions of Jonathan Glazer’s cult sci-fi/horror film, Under the Skin (currently available to watch for free on Channel 4), the pamphlet includes cut-up poems made from reviews of the film and asemic pieces that respond to the film’s sound design and musical score.

Madelaine's debut poetry book, The Second Dream, is an intertextual exploration of Jonathan Glazer’s 2013 sci-fi/horror film Under the Skin (2013). It was published by Steel Incisors in March 2024 on the tenth anniversary of the film’s UK theatrical release. In June 2025 it was nominated for the SFPA’s Elgin Awards for sci-fi poetry.
